Effective July 1st, 2019, FL amended the Florida Clean Indoor Air Act (FCIAA) to include vaping. Pursuant to this Act, Ace employees may no longer vape in the building. Field staff, please note this includes nonsmoking hotel rooms. Keep in mind, if you get a fee for vaping or smoking in a hotel room, you will be charged for it.
Smoking/Vaping
Ace Air Conditioning discourages its employees from smoking and vaping. Smoking & vaping is regarded as a poor health habit which can detract from performance and is often offensive to co-workers and/or customers. While we cannot regulate employee conduct off the job or outside of work hours, we feel it is our responsibility to provide a workplace free of exposure to hazardous substances, and we have therefore established our facility and business as a smoke-free workplace. All employees are expected to abide by this policy while at work.
If you choose to continue smoking, you can do this while in vehicles offsite or while on your lunch break. Smoking will not be allowed on Ace Air Conditioning property, customer homes or jobsites. Special smoke breaks will no longer occur for any staff other than normal lunch breaks. This applies to all tobacco products.
