Missing your travel for work or when gathering with family and friends will add unnecessary stress.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few tips for your travel during the holidays:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Allow extra time.<\/strong>\u00a0Whether you are traveling by car or by air, allow yourself extra time to reach your destination. Many people travel during the holiday season, leading to heavy traffic and long lines at airports. You should arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before your scheduled flight. <strong><u>New Construction Employees<\/u><em>:<\/em><\/strong> If you reschedule your flight at the check-in counter, you must let your Field Coordinator know the new travel time and flight. Missed or changed flights impact different areas of the business that will also need to be updated including hotel reservations and job site schedules.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Be prepared to wait. <\/strong>Enter the holiday travel season with the understanding it\u2019s going to be chaotic and possibly filled with problems<strong>.<\/strong>\u00a0Sometimes even the most careful planning is not enough. A traffic jam or bad weather may cause road delays, or long lines may lead to missed flights. If you allowed yourself extra time to reach your destination, there is a chance that you will arrive there ahead of time. Bring magazines, books and other things to keep yourself and your family occupied if you find that you have to wait.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Confirm travel arrangements.<\/strong> Make sure to confirm any travel arrangements directly with your airline, car rental location, or with your travel coordinator. Check-in online and print off your ticket when possible. <strong><u>New Construction Employees:<\/u><\/strong> Make sure your phone is charged and has all relevant phone numbers and reservation confirmation for hotel and flight.
